Practice makes........CUTE!
Abby had her audition yesterday for the Newport Aquarium commercial. She was pretty shy but very, very cute! The lady worked with her a few times, coaching her to talk louder and be more expressive. But 5 minutes isn't a long time for an unexperienced 6 year old:-) She was adorable and we will pursue many more opportunities like this one. I am not thinking she will get a call back but I guess you never know! Most of the girls who auditioned while we were there were older, 9 and 10 year olds. So Abby just may be the cutest one:-) Here's a short clip of her practicing her lines in one of the holding rooms:

Cinderella
Don't watch this video unless you have a box of Kleenex's beside you. This is Skyler and her Daddy dancing to the last song of the night, Steven Curtis Chapman's Cinderella. Here are the lyrics to the song:
She spins and she sways to whatever song plays,
Without a care in the world.
And I'm sittin' here wearin' the weight of the world on my shoulders.
It's been a long day and there's still work to do,
She's pulling at me saying "Dad I need you!
There's a ball at the castle and I've been invited and I need to practice my dancin'"
"Oh please, daddy, please!"
So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms
'Cause I know something the prince never knew
Oh I will dance with Cinderella
I don't wanna miss even one song,
Cuz all to soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone
She says he's a nice guy and I'd be impressed
She wants to know if I'd approve of a dress
She says "Dad, the prom is just one week away,
And I need to practice my dancin'"
"Oh please, daddy, please!"
So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms
'Cause I know something the prince never knew
Ohh-oh ohh-oh, I will dance with Cinderella
I don't wanna miss even one song,
Cuz all to soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone
She will be gone.
Well, she came home today
With a ring on her hand
Just glowin' and tellin' us all they had planned
She says "Dad, the wedding's due six months away
And I need to practice my dancin'"
"Oh please, daddy please!"
So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms
'Cause I know something the prince never knew
Ohh-oh ohh-oh, I will dance with Cinderella
I don't wanna miss even one song,
(even one song)
Cuz all to soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone
Ughh....it's hard to believe we will have 4 daughters to give away(if they choose). I wish I could pause time...it's sneaking up so so fast.

Saturday Morning
Ahh..I love this picture! This morning, one by one, the kids joined Zack & I in bed. First Mia, then Trendon, Abigail, Skyler, and last (always) Miss Liv. That is one full bed and I wouldn't have it any other way!!!
We snuggled and watched Beakman's World, this is a hilarious show about science geared at kids age 6-10ish. Our's LOVE it! We often replicate the experiments we learn about from the show.

Trendon is 6!
We had Trendon's birthday party on Saturday. We invited the kids in his class and our neighbors. I think we hand 11 kids total (of course that includes our 5! :-) Aunt Rachel made him a Blue Transformer birthday cake! He received lots and lots of fun toys--mainly TMNT and Transformers to add to his collection. After snacks and gifts we went outside to punch on the pinata! HILARIOUS:-) Then the girls wanted to play limbo & musical chairs but the boys are WAAAAY to cool for silly party games now, after all they are 6! So, they went downstairs to play Playstation. It was a great afternoon of kid fun but the adults were absolutely pooped by the end!
Happy Birthday buddy!!!!!!!!

Daddy/Daughter Dance
Wooooow! I don't even know how to put into words the evening we had tonight. It was incredible. There were dozens of girls with their Daddies---dancing and spending such special quality time with them. Skyler and Abigail had a fabulous time with their Dad's. Skyler & Zack danced to nearly every single song!!! Abby and Jamie nearly too. I even got a chance to learn and teach the kids some of my favorite line dances---The Cha Cha Slide, The Electric Slide, and the Cupid Shuffle!
The girls are growing so fast and I am just so thankful that we get to experience these special memories with them. We are so blessed!

The Blue Potty
Zack has begun gutting our Master bathroom in preparation for Clay's visit to remodel it. He started breaking down the horrendous tile walls and removed the sky blue potty. Where did he put the potty you might ask? Ahh...on our side patio! We expected to have a trailer here to haul off the junk but it isn't here yet!!!!!! Until it arrives I have a blue toliet invading my serene space:-(

Our new neighbor has a little boy!!! His name is Skyler, so now we have Skyler T and Skyler P! But what's so exciting is now Trendon has some more man power close by. The weather has been AMAZING and tonight, after the Fancy Nancy party Skyler P and Trendon T along with their daddies wrestled and ran and ran and ran in the front yard. So FuN!

FANCY NANCY
This evening at the library we attended a Fancy Nancy party. Fancy Nancy, for those of you who don't have little girlies in your house, is a fictional girl who relishes in wearing Mommy's heels and lipstick. The books are adorable and teach sweet lessons of being unique and not bothering with worrying what others think of you. Anyway, the girls got to dress in their lovliest attire to attend a fancy party at the library celebrating this books! These girls can be so prissy! They got to play pin the jewel on the crown, fancy up the librarian, create a purse, and listen to a Fancy Nancy story. What a fun FREE evening of entertainment....gotta love the local library!

The Dichotomy Between Skyler & Abigail
Friday evening I took Skyler & Abby to High School Musical on Ice at Rupp Arena in Lexington. We got discounted tickets since we are Girl Scouts--only 12 bucks each!!! We had such a great time! Troy, Gabriella, Shar-pay--the whole gang was there belting out their tunes and moves on the ice! The girls were mesmerized most of the evening. What was so interesting to me is that the reasons for their fascinations were so incredibly different! Skyler LOVES the movie and especially the music so she was singing along and dancing too. She was thrilled to see her favorite characters and was following the story line the entire 2 hours. Abby on the other hand had a far different agenda. She wanted to know the engineering details and mechanics behind all of the tricks and stunts. For example, during my favorite song, Getcha Head In the Game about 25 basketballs "magically" fell from the rafters. "How'd they do that?" she asks. But, she doesn't stop there....she begins rationalizing and attempting to solve the mystery since I wasn't a bit of help! I got such a kick out of observing them in their uniqueness!!!

Newspaper Snack
This week my goal is to get all of our closets cleaned out. I am switching out winter clothes for summer clothes.....mulitply that for 7 people and you can only imagine what my house looks like right now. Trying to decide what of Skyler & Abby's to save for Livie and then do I save Livie's stuff for Mia? 4 years is a long time to have that stuff piled up in my basement. Luckily, all of Trendon's stuff I just pass right to my sister. That one is easy. Nonetheless, my basement is currently a heap of clothes. :-(
Admist me running around sorting and organizing I have let Mia hang out in her walker. Well, this morning Livie runs to me and says Mia is eating newspaper!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sure!
As a matter of fact, Mia had navigated her walker over to the coffee table and was nawing down on the Sunday paper. Notice the black ink all over her face? haha WHAT A HOOT! This girl has been teething non stop since she was 2 months old. Will she ever get a break?

April: A Look Ahead
We are beginning to hear the buzz of lawn mowers, our Weeping Cherry tree is blooming, and the grass is bright green! Spring is here!!!!
We have a busy month full of activities!
Thursday, April 10th -- My training to become a Girl Scout Troop leader!
Friday, April 18th -- Me & the girls are going to see High School Musical on Ice
Saturday, April 19th -- Date Night! Zack and I are going to a wine tasting at Acres of Land Winery with a bunch of friends
Friday, April 25th -- Girl Scout Daddy/Daughter Dance! I am co-coordinating this event for the entire county. We have booked a DJ and the girls will be all dressed up. It's going to be a very fun evening! Don't worry there will be TONS of pictures to share:-)
Saturday, April 26th -- Trendon's Birthday Party!!!!! Anyone have any good ideas on how to make a Transformer birthday party fun?? I am new to the boy thing ya know!:-)
Also, Zack's Dad is coming down to help us with some home improvement projects!! As of now, we have decided to remodel both of our bathrooms. But, we have changed our minds several times about what is top priority. We also want a deck, want to drywall and put Pergo flooring in the basement, crown molding upstairs, and bust out the wall dividing the kitchen from the dining room. Not to mention we'd love to landscape and get new furniture in the upstairs living room! The list never, ever ends as a homeowner. We just keep saving money and doing what we can. For this visit we will likely focus on the bathrooms:-)
Busy, busy month!!!!

Party Week
Spring Break has been a blast! Abby and Livie both spent several days with at Peachie's (my mom)house and we have had 2 different sleepovers here at our house.
Tuesday night Abby's Daisy Scout troop came over to spend the night. Whew, that was pretty much insane! The girls didn't settle down and go to sleep until nearly 2 am and were up before 6:30! Most of them had never been to a sleep-over before...which should have been my first clue that it wasn't going to be that easy!
The next night we picked up one of Abby's good friends, Ellie and her sister Annie to spend the night. What a dichotomy from Tuesday. The girls couldn't have had better behaviour, were asleep before 9 and slept all night! We cooked all of our meals together, played High School Musical Karaoke, and laughed and laughed and laughed!:-)
Last night, Annie & Ellie's parents, Jon & Whit came to pick them up and have dinner with us. I made a Pecan Crusted Chicken w/ Bourbon Sauce----WOOWOOWOWOWOW----This is our new favorite recipe! Clay, you'll get to try it in just as few weeks when you come visit!!! :-)
